CORRECTED Wednesday Discussion Sections, Homework Due Date

Posted by: Matthew Bishop
Posted by: Nov 20, 2012 11:58 am

Folks,

Apologies for resending this -- I mistyped a date. The homework is due on November 30 at 11:59pm. Corrected announcement below.

=====================

Due to the Thanksgiving holidays, we are canceling the Wednesday discussion sections. However, there will be class on Wednesday. Just no discussion sections.

Of course, there are no discussion sections on Thursday and Friday, nor class on Friday.

Also, I am changing the due date of Homework #4 to: Friday, November 30, at 11:59pm. That will give everyone a chance to ask questions in their discussion section next week, too.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Hope this helps,

Matt Bishop

The Student Disability Center asks that students interested in serving as paid notetakers for this course please contact Russ Zochowski at rjzochowski@ucdavis.edu. Notetakers are paid a stipend of $25 per unit, but must have a social security number in order to be paid. Students are asked to put notetaker, the course title, number, and instructor’s name in the subject lines of their emails. Their information will be passed along to the SDC student in need of notes, and if they are interested they will contact each student accordingly.

Homework #1 Clarification

Posted by: Matthew Bishop
Date: Oct 5, 2012 11:34 am

Folks,

In homework #1, the last column of the table should line up under the “u” of the word “pressure”. Neither the web page nor the PDF made this clear, although if you used the format string in the hint, it would work. I updated the homework web page and PDF to make this clear.

Hope this helps,

Matt Bishop
