This course introduces the basic principles of programming. Students learn the programming language C and learn how to use a UNIX- or UNIX-like system. The course also covers debugging and a programming environment.
Prerequisite: Math 16A or Math 21A (may be taken concurrently). Prior experience with another programing language is strongly recommended.
