HackDavis Hackathon

Hi, folks,

For those who haven’t encountered “hackathon” before, it “"aims to bring together technology enthusiasts, developers, and designers to collaborate on innovative solutions that solve real-world problems. Participants will have the opportunity to network, learn from each other, and work on exciting projects.” (email from Shivram Bhandari, Apr. 28, 2023).

Hello, UC Davis Computer Science students!

The big day is finally here!! We are proud to announce that HackDavis 2023 is officially open for registration. Join us on the weekend of May 20 – 21 @ the Arc Pavilion on our mission to create for social good!

HackDavis is an excellent opportunity for all students to gain experience in the technology field and boost their resumes + skills! Every year, over 800 students, creators, and leaders come together for one weekend to create innovative technological solutions for social good. Whether you are a seasoned hacker or a beginner, you are welcome to participate, and there’s something for everyone!

TA Office Hours Schedule Change

Hello Everyone,

I have received some concerns from students who are unable to attend my office hours due to conflicts with their other courses. As a result, I have decided to make some changes to my office hours schedule.

Starting this week, I will be adjusting my Friday office hours to be from 12–1PM in Kemper 47. Please note that the timings for Monday and Wednesday will remain the same, from 10–11 AM in Kemper 53.

You can download the files needed from the web page. I will also add them to the directory ~bishop/ecs36a/hw1. You can also find the programs I use in class in subdirectories there.
