Folks,

There is no class today, Friday, January 8. Please keep looking for the paper you would like to present, and think about (or, better, select) your project. Enter the paper on the class Wiki (on Smartsite).

The next class will be Monday, January 11. See you then!

Hope this helps,

Matt Bishop

Folks,

Today Dr. Jeff Rowe will talk about a pernicious vulnerability, buffer overflows. Although it is widely known, and usually very easy, to prevent these, they have existed since the 1960s and show no sign of going away. Come and hear how they work, why they are so dangerous, and what can be done (and cannot be done) to solve this problem!

Hope this helps,

Matt Bishop
