A number of you expressed interest in this club. They are always welcoming to new members, and they do a lot of things, including capture-the-flag and defensive competition. It meets on Wednesdays from 6–8.

Here's what the latest newsletter says:

“Today we will be holding a general meeting instead of a workshop. Same time and place as last week, 1131 Kemper Hall from 6:10–7:00pm. Come hang out with fellow cybersec nerds and chill :)

P.S. There may or may not be candy (according to Chris)”

Our TA this quarter is Somdutta Bose. Her office hours are:

Monday: 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Wednesday: 10:00 am – 11:00 am

Friday: 9:30 am – 10:30 am

in the Security Lab, 2110 Watershed Sciences.

Hello, folks, and welcome to ECS 235A!

A few preliminary announcements.

As of this posting, there are over 10 people on the waiting list. I have asked to be able to increase the class size, and will do so if I can. But this does not mean everyone on the wait list will get in; it depends on how many people can be admitted.

I cannot give PTAs; the department has a policy (see the Frequently Asked Questions web page for computer science graduates, and look under “Registration” for “How do I get a PTA for a class?”) that must be followed. The department administration will make the decisions around the 10th day of instruction.
This class has a Piazza page. The TA and I will be monitoring it and will jump in when we feel it necessary.
The lectures will be recorded and posted to either Canvas or AggieMedia. There will be a link to each video on the Lecture Outline page.
My office hours are Tuesday and Thursday at 11:00am–11:50am in room 2203 Watershed Sciences, and from 2:30pm–3:30pm on Wednesday via Zoom, beginning on Thursday, September 20. See the next announcement for the URL.
The TA’s office hours are not yet set. I will announce them when they are.
I have turned on Piazza for this class. You can access it through Canvas as well as directly.
