Term Project (With Minor Changes)

Folks,

The term project handout is now on SmartSite (in the Resources ares, Course Information folder) and on the alternate web site. There is one change to it from what I handed out in class today: you need to submit a list of vulnerabilities that you brainstorm, as well as at least 3 write-ups.

I have posted accounts, passwords, and allied business groups for those who have formed teams. Please don’t dally — you need to have the teams by Monday, May 20 (as I said on Monday of this week), or you will lose points.

Extra Credit

Folks,

If you submitted your answer to the extra credit in the Homework folder and not the Extra Credit folder, it was not graded. Please email me (mabishop@ucdavis.edu if you did this, so I know to look there. If you submitted it to the Extra Credit folder, it was graded.

No TA Office Hours Today

Folks,

The TA is not feeling well, and will not be able to hold office hours today. So, she will hold office hours on Friday from 4pm to 6pm (rather than the usual 5pm to 6pm).

My office hours are today at 3:10–4:00pm, as usual.

If You Are Missing Prerequisites, Read This!

Folks,

For those of you who are missing prerequisites (that is, who have not taken ECS 150 and ECS 152A before this quarter), you need to have permission to take this class. The College requires you to fill out a form and send it to me; I then look it over and, if I approve, sign it and give it to the department.

I have put the form on SmartSite; it is a PDF that you can fill in on line. It’s in the Resources area of SmartSite.

Please download it, fill it in, and mail it to me (you don’t need to sign it). I will look it over and decide whether to approve it (if you don’t hear back from me, I did — but you can ask me ☺).

If you have sent me email, you still need to do this — we just received the form, and we need to submit our approval (or disapproval) using it. Sorry — this process is new to many of us.
